We will carefully use the donations we receive from all of you to cover our operating and maintenance expenses, as outlined below.
Management and operating costs for community spaces—such as the symbiotic welfare project “Sonataryu”—that anyone in the community can visit free of charge.
Expenses for maintaining “Uchi-Sapo”—a safe space where children who are not attending school can feel at ease—as well as costs for educational materials and experiential activities. We will continue to create more opportunities for children who cannot attend school to try their hand at things they enjoy or are interested in—such as studying, cooking, and music—and to build their self-confidence.
Personnel costs for specialized counselors who are not included in the institutional staffing standards and who are dedicated to providing in-depth counseling to children and their families.
You'll get back about 50% of your donation!
If an individual makes a donation to the Kuni-kai Social Welfare Corporation, they can receive a tax refund by filing a tax return, attaching the receipt, and entering the amount in the “Donation Deduction” section.
● Income Tax
The only deduction method available is the “income deduction” method. (Since our organization has not been certified for the “tax credit” method, we cannot select that option.)
●Inheritance Tax
If a person who has acquired property through inheritance or a will donates that property within the inheritance tax filing period, no inheritance tax will be levied on the donated property.
Donations to the Social Welfare Corporation Kunikai qualify as “donations to specified public interest promotion corporations,” so the deductible limit for such donations is higher than that for general donations. In addition to the general tax deduction limit (0.25% of capital stock plus 2.5% of income), an additional limit of the same amount will be applied.
To claim a donation as a tax-deductible expense, you must include the amount on your tax return, attach a detailed statement of the donation, and retain the required documentation. For detailed procedures, please contact your local tax office.
*You will need a receipt issued by our organization when filing your tax return.
*Please note that, as a general rule, we cannot reissue receipts, so please keep yours in a safe place.
Can I make an anonymous donation?
You may also make donations anonymously or under a nickname (pseudonym).
Can I get a receipt?
We will mail it to you within one month after confirming your donation. You will need this receipt when filing your tax return, so please be sure to keep it in a safe place.
We don’t want to say, “We can’t help because there’s no system in place.” Please lend us your support so that as many children, families, and community members as possible can live with peace of mind. We look forward to your support.
