July Leaning Meeting

[Ring toss].
We played ring toss with the residents. We had a wonderful time, showing the residents' kindness and warmth toward others as they enjoyed the game of ring toss, picking up the other person's wheel and passing it to him or her.

Digging for potatoes
The weather was beautiful and we drove to the field to harvest Kitaakari potatoes, one of the three types of potatoes we have. We had a great time harvesting under the blue sky, getting in touch with the air and the soil. The staff could not hide their amazement at how quickly everyone moved and finished harvesting in no time at all. We are very much looking forward to the snacks from the nutrition department☆.

Kuyahara Festival Mikoshi
A portable shrine from a local festival took a rest in front of the facility. The residents looked very happy watching the portable shrine. After all, summer is the time of the "mikoshi" (portable shrine).
At the end of the event, many people were heard to say, "I wish I could have seen more! The weather was beautiful and it was a great time to feel in touch with the community. We look forward to seeing them again next year.

Health Promotion Club
Sitting on chairs in a circle, each person held a string and moved their arms up and down, left and right, bouncing balloons while singing the Kusatsu Ondo (Japanese folk song) and a tea picking song. Counting the number of balloons as they bounced them brought everyone together and created a sense of solidarity, making the exercise very exciting and enjoyable.
